Working Pattern 22.5 hours worked over 43 weeks per year (term time). Salary - £22,547.48 pro-rated based on hours and weeks worked. Full time equivalent salary is £39,327.00.Location Liverpool (2-3 days) and Southport (1 day)You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to meet the needs of the young people we support.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managinga clinical caseload of students, working in collaboration with teachers, class teams and the widermulti-disciplinary team. Supportingstudents communication skills across the school and learning environment; delivering indirect and direct interventions, whether individually or in small groups. Assessing,monitoringand recordingstudents progress with respect to their development in all areas of speech,languageand communication. Liaisingwith parents,familiesand carers, and advisingon issues relatingto the development of speech,languageand other communication skills. Providingclinical supervision tomorejuniorSpeech and Language Therapycolleagues, Therapy Assistants and Therapy service volunteers asrequired. Contributingto the planning and delivery of training to colleagues across the whole school asrequired. Assistingin the process of monitoring,evaluatingand recording pupils progress. Providingassessment reports and intervention plans for individual pupils.We are looking for someone who has: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy including current registration with RCSLT and the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience of working in a multidisciplinary manner with the ability tomodifya range of therapy programmes and interventions. Experience of working in Special Educational and Clinical settings. Experience of working with young people and adults with complex needs including Autism ad ADHD. Experience of modifying therapyprogrammes and interventions to meet the need of individual young people. Full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work related travel.
