Summary

Support Worker | Preston/ South Ribble | Full time | £22,102.08 for unqualified candidates and £22,353.24 for those with an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with a sleep-in rate of £60.00 per sleep, potentially adding an additional £3,120 to £6,240 per year

What will your role look like?

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting Individuals: You will work closely with the people we support, helping them with daily tasks such as maintaining their home, shopping, attending appointments, and engaging in leisure activities like fishing, bike rides, and cinema trips
• Key Working: You may be asked to ‘key work’ specific individuals, providing tailored support around tenancy management, medical appointments, financial planning, and activity coordination
• Promoting Independence: Encouraging people to take pride in their homes, manage their physical and emotional health, pursue education or employment opportunities, and maintain a positive presence within the community
• Community Engagement: Supporting individuals to be active, valued members of their local community, fostering positive relationships with neighbours and others in the area
• Professional Representation: As a representative of our client, you will help uphold the values and standards of the social care sector, working alongside colleagues to ensure the highest level of support
• Complete and update all required administrative tasks, including diary and communication book entries, daily notes, finance records, incident/accident forms, and holiday/mileage forms, accurately and on time per organizational policy

You will receive comprehensive training to ensure that you can offer the best support, including mentoring new staff once you are established in your role.
