Job description
In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become a proficient Working at Height Operative. Working under supervision as your skill base increases you will undertake the following.
Support and learn different skills using a variety of access methods.
Work on existing facilities or construction sites Installing the erection and dismantling of all manner of safety systems.
Carry out inspections on equipment to ensure they are safe to use.
Learn about the different equipment used for Rope Access.
Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety protocols.
To progress within your career, you will be put through IRATA Training and a NVQ in Accessing Operations in rigging – Fall Arrest / NVQ Level 3 Personal Fall Protection Installer.
Requirements:
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
You must be 19+ due to Health & Safety Requirements.
Some knowledge of construction and site working practices would be advantageous, although not essential
Driving is not essential however would be advantageous Non-Drivers – Will need to get to the depo in Hartlepool and have a clear pathway planned ahead of the interview of how they intend on gaining their driving licence upon completion of the course (20 hrs free lessons will be included). Drivers – To make their own way to site if it’s local and will be paid mileage.
Some working away may be required therefor a hotel and meals will be paid for.
Salary
NMW (£11.44 21+ or £8.60 19 – 21 year old) depending on construction knowledge, rising to £24,500 upon completion.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44 per hour to start. £24,500 once trained up.
Expected hours: 39 per week
