Residential Children's Home Manager

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus scheme

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Residential Children's Home Manager to lead a dedicated team, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for children with emotional and behavioural challenges. As the Children’s Home Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of outstanding care, while managing all aspects of the home’s operations. You will guide and inspire your team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

About You

Our client is looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Qualifications: Level 5 qualification in Children, Young People, and Family Practitioner.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s home, including time in a Deputy or Registered Manager role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Inspire and motivate your team to deliver exceptional care tailored to each child’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing professional development to team members, fostering a culture of excellence.

Care Delivery and Therapeutic Support

  • Oversee and implement personalised therapeutic interventions, ensuring the needs of each child are met in collaboration with external professionals.
  • Promote best practices and a child-centred approach in all aspects of care delivery.

Operational Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing, to ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards, ensuring the home consistently operates at a high level of quality.

Building Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, external agencies, and other stakeholders to provide holistic and comprehensive support for the children.
  • Foster an environment that is safe, nurturing, and conducive to the well-being and growth of all residents.
