About the Role
The post holder will provide advice, support and information to citizens and legitimate businesses on various aspects of Trading Standards legislation, and take enforcement action, including prosecution, where necessary, to promote a fair and safe trading environment. There are two fixed term posts available, one will specialise in Tobacco and Vapes enforcement.
About You
This post is open to internal and external candidates. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of dealing with consumer problems and of providing legal advice or explanation of legislative requirements to a variety of parties, including police officers, solicitors & barristers, courts & other agencies.
- A high attention to detail.
- The ability to plan and manage own workload within tight deadlines.
- Experience of investigations, mediation and problem resolution.
A NPPV (Non-Police Personal Vetting) is required for this post
