An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly successful Learning Support team at Mountain Ash Comprehensive School. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate who is empathetic, caring and has the relevant experience to support learners and colleagues within a Learning Support setting and:-• can support the ALNCo and the duties linked to this role. • can assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning. The current post-holder’s role includes:-
o Delivering literacy interventions to small groups in Key Stage 3. o Delivering ELSA and wellbeing sessions through our dog mentor programme and Lego therapy.
• is able to motivate, challenge and inspire students and staff
• is committed to continue to raise standards
• inspires confidence in, and establishes excellent relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• consistently models outstanding practice
• has excellent organisational and communication skills.
• is ambitious and committed to continuing professional development
