Working hours: Full time 37 hours per week, some shift working will be required as the service covers evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Salary: Starting Salary is £49,764 (Level one) rising to £52,805 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

A salary which is Grade J £49,764 - £52,805 + Market Supplement £1k in first year (rising to £2k for subsequent years)

+ AMHP Payment (where qualified) £2k

About the Role

Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager to lead our Emergency Duty Team on a permanent basis.

This is a unique leadership opportunity, which covers both adults and children within the locality of Nottingham City. You will bring with you a proven track record of successfully managing people and be able to effectively communicate in a Multi-Agency environment, prioritise and work autonomously.

The work is varied and challenging and in return we will offer a supportive environment , providing regular supervision and appraisals, with a firm commitment to supporting continuous professional development.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional Social Work Qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Have significant experience in the safeguarding of adults, young people, and children
  • An Approved Mental Health (AMPH) qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Previous Leadership experience in a previous role
  • Possession of a full driving license and access to a vehicle

This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
