About the College/Department
Our College of Science and Engineering is made up of the School of Science, School of Computing, School of Sport and Exercise Science, and School of Engineering. We are the University’s STEM College, in a city with a strong STEM heritage that hosts some of the world's leading STEM companies, and in a region with STEM at the centre of its economic growth plan.

Our School of Science is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Biomedical Science to contribute to the teaching and curriculum development in the discipline area of Biomedical Science and Forensic Science.

About the Role

You will be expected to contribute to the module and programme delivery of Biomedical Science related topics such as cell biology, immunology, biochemistry etc, within the School Science. With high professional standing and high standards, we would expect that you would not only provide an impetus for teaching and research in your specialist area, but also contribute to the team effort in delivering the programmes for which the whole discipline area is responsible.

About You
We are looking for a candidate with relevant subject-specific qualifications and expertise, along with experience or knowledge of higher education. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using a variety of teaching techniques to inspire and engage students effectively.

Important Information
This role is eligible for sponsorship by the University, however, your individual circumstances must meet the criteria set out by UKVI; this includes meeting the English Language requirement and earning a salary that meets the highest of either the going rate for the SOC code or the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£38,700 per annum).

If the role is eligible, but the offered salary is less than the going rate for the role, you may still be able to apply for a Skilled Worker visa if:
