Job Description :
As a catering assistant you will be a valued part of our catering team based at a special school and provide healthy and freshly produced school meals.
You will be required to assist in the preparation, cooking, service clearing and cleaning of the catering equipment and kitchen environment within the required standards, ensuring hygiene and safety measures are maintained. You’ll also need to provide written documents in relation to Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation and business requirements.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, providing a quality service within a prescribed timeframe. It’s also an active role – for example you’ll be lifting, moving and handling large equipment frequently. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public.
