Summary

Role Overview:

An opportunity to join a well-established main contractor specialising in Fit-Out and Refurbishment works with over 50 years of expertise in the industry, delivering high quality services across a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, heritage and bespoke restorations.

This is an office based role with occasional site visits when necessary to locations across London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will be an experienced Auto-CAD Draughtsman specialising in Joinery Design, who will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and designs for a range of projects. The role will include working closely with the workshop management team, site teams and clients to ensure designs meet specifications, quality standards and align with project timelines.

Auto-CAD Draughtsman Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed Auto-CAD drawings and technical specifications for joinery projects
  • Collaborate with the workshop managers, project managers, bench joiners, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are practical and achievable
  • Review architectural drawings and provide input on joinery aspects
  • Ensure drawings comply with building regulations, health and safety requirements, and client and or company standards
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials and components are accurately represented
  • Attend project sites as necessary to survey, review designs and oversee implementation

Auto-CAD Draughtsman Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Auto-CAD Draughtsman, specialising in joinery design
  • Strong proficiency in Auto-CAD and other relevant design software
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in technical drawing
  • Knowledge of construction and joinery processes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams
  • Familiarity with building regulations and health and safety standards
  • Relevant qualifications in architectural design, joinery, or a related field
