Falkirk Council has pledged to participate in the UK Government Resettlement Schemes.

To help us take forward this commitment, we are looking for a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking Community Worker to support the development and delivery of community based ESOL for adults and families.

In your role, you will work with

  • work with learners to develop a range of English language skills that support their ability to contribute and integrate economically, culturally and socially.
  • work with volunteers to support the delivery of ESOL provision
  • work collaboratively with other services, agencies, and organisations to maximise opportunities for ESOL learners as part of their resettlement journey.

Essential to this process is the assessment, levelling and achievement of SCQF ESOL qualifications for all learners.

This exciting opportunity requires someone who is passionate about making a difference and working with adults and families towards:

  • Improved life chances for people of all ages, through learning, personal development and active citizenship.
  • Stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities.

It is expected that you will:

  • hold an appropriate CLD qualification and /or ESOL qualification
  • experience of working within the CLD sector delivering ESOL.
  • be registered or working towards registration with the Community Learning and Development Standards Council.
  • Gain/ maintain PVG membership for working with children and adults.
