We are a small construction company based in Shrewsbury and are seeking a proactive Accounts Administrator to join our team, in the office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing Payroll, financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts. The position is perfect for someone who has a good understanding of accounting principles and software.
Duties
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
• Utilise, our Accounting Software (QuickBooks) to manage financial transactions efficiently.
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll.
• Reconciliation of accounts.
• Monitor accounts for any overdue payments and follow up as necessary.
• Provide administrative support to the office, including data entry and report generation.
Qualifications
• A good understanding and knowledge of Accounting Software, preferably QuickBooks, however, not essential as training will be provided.
• Previous knowledge in accounts payable and receivable or a similar role is an advantage.
• Knowledge and competence of Payroll preferred; however, not essential as training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Competence of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel and similar.
Job Types: Part-Time, (3 days a week) Permanent
Salary - £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (Depending on experience)
