Requirements of the Purchasing Administrator:
Possess strong purchasing, sales administration, or office administration experience.
Be proficient with MS Office applications.
Confident communicator with the ability to speak to customers and internal colleagues.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to multitask.
Be able to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Job Description
Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator:
Place all purchase orders in line with delivery schedules.
Place ad hoc orders for direct deliveries and special orders.
Maintain Purchase Order due dates and chase back orders.
Deal with invoice queries.
Monitor out of stocks and provide solutions where possible.
Review stock levels periodically to ensure continuous supply, whilst effectively managing warehouse space.
Consult with buyers to monitor supplier performance.
Consult with the Sales team to capture new customer requirements.
Consult with the Goods In team to notify suppliers of any delivery discrepancies and provide resolutions.
Assist with the annual stock take.
Provide forecasts to suppliers/buyers.
