Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic reliable people with good work ethic and a good intention to detail to pick strawberries.
This is as seasonal job from Mid-May to late October potentially lasting 6 months. The role involves, picking Strawberries according to specific guidelines, other jobs could involve planting, weeding, leaf management and other cultural tasks. Flexible start and finish due to the perishable crop and when it needs to be picked.
Induction and training will be given at the start of employment. Interviews will be taken by Adrian Wells and/or Julie Wells
The hours are approximately 8 hours a day, dependent on crop stage and weather conditions, with breaks which total 1 hour per day, with 5-or 6-days work per week dependant on workload. The salary is a minimum of £11.44 per hour based on peace incentives and targets achieved. There may be days with no work, but notification will be given. A zero-rated contract will be given as no guarantee of hours.
The work will be done on protected crops in glass houses and poly tunnels.
