The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of the Customer Service Experience at BBC Edinburgh, ensuring exceptional interactions in a professional environment. This role focuses on continuous service improvement, leaving a positive and lasting impression on staff, visitors, and the public. Key responsibilities include managing front-of-house services at The Tun, overseeing switchboard and reception duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of Radio Studios and the TV Mezzanine Camera. The post holder will coordinate bookings for reception radio and TV studios, organize out-of-hours meet and greets, and liaise with Radio Planning and production teams to meet guest requirements.

Additionally, the role involves allocating hot desks for visiting staff, raising work orders for meet and greet bookings, and managing overtime, meet and greet, and expenses payments for the reception team. The individual will provide financial information to the Facilities Manager and compile essential building user guides. Close cooperation with the House Attendant Team is crucial for maintaining an immaculate reception area. The post holder will also administer the BBC Visitor system and handle reactive facilities management inquiries to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Proactive health and safety management in common areas is essential, including regular checks and acting as the incident control officer during fire evacuations. The post holder will liaise with the Engineering Department to resolve maintenance issues and monitor customer satisfaction through the JCI performance measurement system. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and experience in fire warden training. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and finance systems is required, with an IOSH certificate and first aid certification highly desirable.
