Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Ipswich starting January 2025. In this full-time role, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their academic goals and enhance their individual learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
• Support students in developing social and emotional skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
Requirements:
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a SEN setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
