Summary
The successful candidate will support the Phlebotomy Team Leader, Operational Co-ordinator and the Service Manager in delivering a high quality Phlebotomy Service to the Trust and community. We are therefore looking for an individual who has previous Phlebotomy experience and also has demonstrable supervisory skills.
You will work alongside the existing team leader to optimise and prioritise the throughput of work as well as undertaking appraisals, training and recruitment of staff.
It is expected that you will be flexible and if required work on the Wards and in outpatient and GP clinics which run from 7.45am to 5pm 7 days a week.
This role involves working at our main site Queens Hospital Burton. You will take an active part in the Phlebotomy service with particular responsibility for the supervision of staff and assisting in the allocation of phlebotomy staff to wards, GPs, Community Hospitals and clinics ensuring an efficient and effective use of staff.
The role involves working on a 4 week rota basis which includes working 1 in 4 weekends. You must be a car user and have business insurance as you may be required to drive throughout Derbyshire/Staffordshire.
