Grahamston House is a specialist care home, providing person centred care to 32 older individual’s living with Dementia and needs associated with the ageing process.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our large, established and forward-thinking professional team as a Senior Social Care Worker.

The post holder will have knowledge and experience of providing professional care and support to individuals who have a wide range of needs, particularly those living with Dementia.

You will play a vital role in the effective management and development of a fast-paced care home where an excellent standard of care, teamworking, innovative practice and multidisciplinary working is key.

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in the supervision and development of professional social care staff and be able to manage the service in the absence of the manager.

You must have good organisational skills, experience at Senior level, an ability to work on your own initiative and have proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

This post requires an individual who can actively participate as an integral part of the management team in the development and delivery of the highest possible quality of care.

An SVQ Level 3 in Social Care is essential for the post; CSS, Dip SW SVQ assessor or equivalent is desirable.

You will work early/late shifts and weekends.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
