Saving Babies Lives and PMRT Midwife- Full time, Cross site

We are looking for a conscientious and dedicated midwife to join our newly restructured Maternity Quality and Safety team. You will be required to work across both acute sites (Basingstoke and Winchester), splitting your time evenly.

If you have a passion for excellence and a professionally curious mind, this could be the role for you. The post holder should have excellent inter-personal skills as well as being highly organised and proactive in their work.

• To be the lead for the Maternity Service for Saving Babies Lives (SBL) implementation, ensuring that the current version of recommendations and requirements are achieved and maintained.
• Leading the work, setting up and coordinating working groups. Working with midwifery, obstetric and paediatric teams to meet all the standards within the required timeframes
• The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, both internal and external agencies and user representatives and act as a representative of HHFT maternity on external forums when required.
• To be the lead for the Maternity Service for the Perinatal Mortality Review Tool (PMRT), ensuring that all time frames are met for reporting applicable cases and that the correct data is included.
• To be the lead for the Maternity Service for the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP), attending meetings as scheduled.
• To act as an external panel member for PMRT reviews for other Trusts.
• The post holder will be an experienced midwife that is clinically credible and able to support the service in times of escalation on either site therefore it is a requirement of this role that the postholder will be rostered on to 1x 11.5 hour shift per roster period to meet the needs of the service. This shift may be a night or a weekend shift.
• The post holder will also be required to take part in the trust on call rota, the requirement is 6 per year.
