Graduate Science Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification

Graduate Science Teaching Assistant.
• A degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related STEM field with a 2:1 or higher.
• A genuine passion for science and education, with a desire to support students of all abilities.
• Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive attitude.

Graduate Science Teaching Assistant – Job Specification

• Full-time, long-term role offering up to £520 per week.
• Support science teachers in delivering engaging and practical lessons.
• Provide tailored one-on-one or small-group interventions to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Work with high-achieving students aiming for top grades as well as those needing additional support to improve their understanding.
• Assist in preparing resources, setting up experiments, and ensuring the smooth running of science lessons.
• Gain hands-on classroom experience and insight into teaching strategies.
• Sociable working hours, Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
