Twenty4Seven Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant for a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated All-Through School in Coventry. This exciting new full-time role is to start ASAP on a long-term basis.
The main aim of your role is to support the class teachers with the teaching and welfare of children to attain the targets set within the National Curriculum. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English and Punjabi.
Key Responsibilities:
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection - all concerns need reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
To provide teaching support in small groups and where necessary on an individual basis
Demonstrate positive behaviour management in line with the school policy
Demonstrate good communication skills when supporting pupils and providing feedback to other professionals and parents/carers as required
Ensure the maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe working environment ensuring that equipment/resources/materials are set out on time and as per instructions and used safely to enable pupils to meet their learning targets
Provide admin support (e.g. typing, photocopying, display etc.)
Qualifications & Experience:
Right to work in the UK
Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C+ (or equivalent) is essential
Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable
Experience working with children within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience)
Ability to communicate in English and Punjabi
Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
