How you'll make a difference

Our Assets and Liability Management team (ALM) manage the financial risks that arise due to mismatches between the assets and liabilities. Joining as a Trainee ALM Analyst, you will be responsible for processing the ALM reporting, and will be trained and developed in the following areas:

-The development of ALM systems and the implementation of system enhancements. Primarily ALM software used is QRM.

-The development, enhancement and streamlining of model interfaces and spreadsheets.

-Production of all regular Market Risk reporting including interest rate risk, basis risk, Optionality and Treasury Policy limits reporting.

-Produce numerous governance Committee MI reports

-Completion of the relevant sections of the Society's Report & Accounts and Pillar 3 disclosures.

-Produce the relevant regulatory PRA returns in a timely and accurate manner

-Assisting the wider department to meet changing regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Degree preferably in a mathematical, statistical, economics or finance discipline, or suitably qualified by work experience.

-Ability to produce a high standard of work and a strong attention to detail.

-Have strong inter-personal skills and work well in a team.

-Microsoft Office skills including a good level of proficiency in Excel

You will have a training plan and strong leadership to support you, however you will need to have the drive for self-development and a desire to learn more.
