Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic Subject Lead who will lead a small PE department. This will include designing the curriculum, line managing one other member of the team, and coordinating after-school clubs, as well as carrying out the quality assurance of PE. This middle leadership role will carry a TLR 4.

In this role, you will:

• Set high expectations which motivate and challenge students in a productive learning environment
• Promote good outcomes by students, planning well-structured lessons
• Review curriculum policy and practice
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment
• Fulfil wider professional responsibilities with high standards of personal and professional conduct
