Gotham Newcastle is located in the Old Fire Station which was originally built in 1931–1933 based on designs by Cackett, Burns Dick and Mackellar. Baroque Revival in style, a handsome steel framed building with rusticated Portland stone and brick cladding.

As our Housekeeping Manager you will take care of the stage for a sumptuous hotel experience offering opulence and luxury. Give our guests the amazing VIP treatment from when the curtain lifts on entry to the hotel, along with during hotel check in and departure. You must be fully flexible working 5 over 7 days and a variety of daytime or evening shifts.
You’ll join a friendly, talented and dedicated cast who deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have superb personal presentation and terrific team spirit. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the housekeeping team to ensuring the guest experiences are spotless, with perfectly put together bedrooms and faultless public areas
- Creative a positive working culture within the housekeeping team, inspiring the attendants to continuously strive for impeccable housekeeping standards
- Manage all department costs and ensure expenses are kept in line with the budget guidelines, managing and controlling all housekeeping stock and orders
- Full responsibility and lead on the standards for all bedrooms, public spaces and food and beverage outlets through SOPs, training and regular checking and monitoring
- Effectively and fairly assign and delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the venue is in keeping with its five-star standard and expectation
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and enhance any processes or procedures
- Work closely with all department heads to ensure a seamless guest experience and journey
- Ensure all hotel standard operating procedures are adhered to and assist wherever possible
Achieve the highest level possible of guest satisfaction within the housekeeping department but actively involved in all others and promote this within their team
