Summary
Be Personnel have a new vacancy to work with our client as a Freshwater Operative. Our client is responsible for the breeding, rearing and processing of superior salmon in the pristine waters of the West Highlands and Islands. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will work as directed to complete the daily operational tasks of your assigned RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) units. We are offering both rotational shift work (2 weeks on/off) as well as Monday to Friday core work.
Role and Responsibilities:
Feeding and monitoring the fish stocks on a daily basis
Operation of manual and automatic feeding systems
Grading, splitting and treatment of stocks
Strictly observing hygiene protocols
Supporting with training of other staff within the business
Monitoring water quality
Maintaining equipment
Supporting fish health and growth
Attention to detail through all tasks
Structured approach to all work tasks
In addition to a competitive salary of between £25,501 and £31,371.31 plus on-call premiums and overtime rates, our client also offers the following:
