Omnikote Limited is a powder coating company based in Aylesbury, established for over 40 years. The successful applicant will be required to work alone in a confined, enclosed space. Previous experience is preferred, however, being able to learn from verbal instruction is essential. On the job training will be provided.
The operator will control an over-the-shoulder blast hose, using PPE and an air-fed helmet. It involves continuous physical, manual work and requires great physical strength and stamina. Sweepblasting of galvanising and the application of zinc metal will also be involved. You will be responsible for controlling the quality of your own work.
Loading and unloading of metalwork will be required, by way of heavy lifting and use of a fork-lift truck. It is necessary to have a good attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment, in order to meet production requirements. Maintenance and upkeep of the equipment will also be required to be learnt and undertaken.
