Summary

Support Worker - Ash Vale

Full & Part-Time roles available

£12.33 per hour

Five people who Dimensions support at their home in Ash Vale would like some new Support Workers to join the team who enable them to live an independent life.

The three men and two ladies who are aged in their 40's-70's, and have learning disabilities, enjoy a full and varied life. They would be happy to meet either full or part-time Support Workers who would like to support them to do the things they enjoy, including:

- Going out for lunch and dinner in town.

- Seeing shows at local theatres

- Shopping trips

- Arts and Crafts at home

- Cooking

- Planning and going on holiday

These people would like you to know that although they don't all use words to communicate, they can understand you and have a variety of ways of telling you what they want. If you have not had to communicate with people in this way before do not worry as Dimensions provide all Support Workers with full training.

The people we support would be happy to meet either full or part-time Support Workers. We need Support Workers to be able to work a mixture of 07.00-14.30 and 14.00-21.30 shifts and to undertake 1 sleep-in per week.

Dimensions are happy to offer a payrate of £12.33 per hour (sleep-ins are paid at an allowance of £50 per sleep).

Support Workers will also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and assist the ladies with their personal care.

Benefits for Support Workers choosing to work with Dimensions include:

- We offer 30 days annual leave pro rata with the option to buy and sell leave

- If you refer a friend to us and if they're successfully employed, you'll receive a £200 bonus

- We offer paid training and options to further develop your career through funded accredited courses

- Bike to Work scheme and discounts on meals, shopping, entertainment, gym membership and mobile phone tariffs

- We're a values-driven organisation that puts people with learning disabilities and their families at the heart of everything we do
