Summary

Work as a member of the Learning and development team (LDT) managing the technical and administrative tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS) requirement. Responsible for service provision and key functionality of the LMS, including account management with the provider Kallidus. Using highly developed information technology (IT) knowledge and skills, manage the LMS and associated platforms to design and develop content and functionality to meet the needs of the learning and development provision across the Trust, to enhance staff knowledge, motivation, performance and positively impact patient care. Where required, work with the Head of Learning & Development to manage the upgrade process for the LMS, liaising with internal colleagues for trust-wide implications and external suppliers to ensure changes and improvements are relevant, assured and accessible with all contractual obligations met. Manage and maximise the functionality of our LMS Kallidus Learn / Insight application and be the system expert within the Trust. Work with Kallidus to create how to digital user guides, videos and information, advice and guidance (IAGs) to support the end-user experience both with the Trust and for external users. Produce standard operating procedures (SoPs) for key LMS activities to enable the learning and development team (LDT) to provide cross-cover and support via the LDT Helpdesk. Provide reports to support the Associate/Deputy Directors of Workforce and OD in reporting to executive committees for training compliance and to inform the corporate risk register. Develop system administration and user / role-specific system policies and procedures. Responsible for working with managers, clinical and non-clinical staff within the trust to ensure that staff understand how the LMS facilitates access to, and delivery of, learning as well as providing compliance monitoring. Lead key stakeholders in the testing and implementation of new software releases, updates and fault fixes for the LMS. Work closely with the MaST lead on a day-to-day basis and support the Digital e-learning developer with the uploading of locally and nationally created eLearning content. Ensure courses available via the LMS are displayed, current and up to date. Positively promote and actively communicate the learning and development opportunities available via the LMS. Ensure data accuracy by implementing robust data quality assurance processes. Develop technical solutions to stakeholder requirements where required. Responsible for responding to day-to-day technical issues relating to the LMS via our workforce and OD helpdesk tickets within the agreed SLA timeframes. Provide expert technical advice to subject matter experts and directorate training leads to support the development of courses, accreditations and relevant audiences to enable the management of mandatory and essential-to-role training within the LMS. Create data reports within the LMS and provide training to relevant stakeholders. Manage priorities to deliver a high quality and timely service which meets customer needs. Identify learning opportunities which could be best delivered via an online LMS for Mandatory, role specific essential training and other training. Support the Head of Learning and Development, MAST Lead, subject matter experts SMEs), local mandatory training leads and educators to ensure the organisation meets the standards set out in Core Skills Training Framework. Demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workstreams, working to deadlines as required. Apply agreed mandatory and role specific essential training models and requirements to Trust staff profiles (target audiences) in the LMS. Develop processes to ensure a learner centered approach to all activities. Understand how systems interact and feed into the LMS, streamline processes to ensure effective interface results. Attend and contribute to discussions at meetings, at required. Deliver training for the use and functionality of the LMS, confidently engaging with all levels of stakeholders to support their use of the system. Demonstrate understanding of the wider digital applications and platforms available, making recommendations to ensure the current, or future, LMS is the most efficient and effective for the trusts needs.
