skilled technical pricing professional with a passion for data, risk modelling, and collaborative innovation?




If so, you may be interested in our new Technical Pricing Specialist position, where you will help drive impactful pricing
strategies in the pet insurance industry!




Package: Up to £75k, with excellent benefits including 25 holiday days (plus your birthday off), private medical insurance, health

This role can be fully remote, hybrid or office based in Amesbury-whatever suits you best!




As a Senior Technical Pricing Specialist, you will:

* Lead major projects within one or more pricing domains:
* Technical Pricing: Risk cost modeling.
* Rate-Setting & Product Design: Developing innovative pricing strategies.
* Systems & Rate Implementation: Collaborating with development teams for implementation.
* Portfolio Management: Monitoring and reporting on performance.
* Represent the Pricing Team in key forums such as the Technical Underwriting Working Group (TUM), preparing and presenting
material.
* Deliver training and mentorship to Pricing Analysts and Senior Pricing Analysts.
* Develop and maintain advanced skills across all five aspects of the Pricing Cycle: Data & Logging, Monitoring & Reporting,
Analysis & Modelling, Rating & Product Design, and Systems & Implementation.







To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Data Expertise: Advanced skills in handling structured data, including querying and manipulation (e.g., SQL).
* Statistical Programming: Advanced proficiency in languages like R or Python.
* Proprietary Tools: Expertise in Willis Towers Watson Emblem and Willis Towers Watson Radar.

* Comprehensive knowledge of appropriate Technical Pricing Specialist concepts, either through professional qualification (such
as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exam passes for the relevant General Insurance subjects, Chartered Insurance
Institute Diploma in Insurance, or similar body) or (for internal candidates) following assessment by Pricing Management of an
equivalent level of capability.

* Advanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of other Microsoft Office tools.
