We are now recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to set and operate our CNC 5 Axis machine, producing parts correct to drawing.
In addition to this as our CNC Machine Operator you will be responsible for:
- Setting & Operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Setting up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Monitoring and inspecting workpieces to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
In order to be successful in this role it's essential that you have:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating / setting 5-axis CNC machines.
- 5 years experience of actual machining.
It would be great if you had:
- IT literacy (Windows 7, MS Office).
- Experience in operating a 5 Axis machine
- A Strong understanding of CNC programs
- Knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining techniques.
- The ability to perform precision measurements using callipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Fanuc based controls; DMG Mori Celos, Mazak Mazatrol
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (TNC640)
