- All UK travel expenses covered whilst in placement
- Annual salary review
- We aim to place you with a client within a 50 mile radius of your home to avoid travel disrupting your time off

- Free PVG for Scotland and free DBS if working in the north of England
- Pay based on your care experience, plus bank holiday enhancements and a workplace pension

- An online Carer Community to stay connected, share advice and best practice
24/7/365 support from our central team

- ‘Excellent’ rated Care Inspectorate team supporting you, 24/7, 365 days a year
What does a live-in carer do?
As a live-in care assistant in Scotland, you’ll provide personalised care that enables clients to stay in their own homes. We offer flexible rota patterns to help you balance work and personal life, and we welcome carers with at least six months of professional experience. You’ll stay with your client during your chosen rota pattern, caring for one person (or sometimes a couple) and following a tailored care plan. Duties include daily activities, personal care, condition management, and household tasks. You’ll typically work an average of 8–10 hours per day, with daily rates based on hours worked.
About you:
You’ll be someone who’s happy to talk, laugh and enjoy time with our clients, assisting them in their activities and encouraging them to live life to the full.
You might already be working as a live-in carer, or you might have professional experience as a support worker, care assistant in a residential or domiciliary care setting, or you might be a HCA working with the NHS. If you share our passion for quality care, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
- At least 6 months’ professional care experience gained in any care setting
- You must be able to provide us with proof of your right to work in the UK. We cannot assist with any sponsorship or visa requests – including those applying for a health and social care visa.
- You must be flexible to travel to your client placement (UK travel expenses covered)
*Pay will vary depending on your experience, the average daily hours worked and your chosen rota pattern.
The Good Care Group is part of a family of home care brands in the UK, including Oxford Aunts, Prestige Nursing & Care and Comfort Keepers (Ireland).
Please note any successful applicants for this role will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS and PVG check for working with adults. It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group.
