Clinical responsibilities : 1.1To be accountable for his/her own practice and utilise availableopportunities to sustain and improve knowledge and professionalcompetence1.2To obtain a detailed and comprehensive patient history and undertakerelevant examination and investigations for an un-scheduled patientgroup.1.3To assist the nursing staff in maintaining patients well-being anddignity in a safe environment and in maintaining patient confidentialityand privacy.1.4 To request and interpret investigations as required.1.5To provide advanced level, autonomous care to patients registeringwithin Urgent Care Centre, to include history taking, assessment,examination, treatment, discharging, referral, and prescribing.1.6To manage and coordinate the clinical area, participating in direct patientcare and supervision of staff.1.7Assess patients presenting with acute illness, including being able torecognise and manage appropriately patients who may self-present withemergency or life-threatening conditions.1.8Diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions andcare for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis Responsibility for patients : 2.1 To always behave in a manner that is professional, positive, and polite.2.2To act as an effective role model and maintain professional standardswhen representing the department, courteous and always helpful.2.3To provide a holistic, autonomous care service by attending to physical,psychological, and social needs of patients and where necessaryimplementation of an agreed management plan for optimum care andtreatment of their complex problems or potential problems.2.4To request and interpret diagnostic tests and make referrals.
