Summary
Reporting to the Principal Infrastructure Environmental Health Practitioner (PIEHP), the postholder will discharge duties for all EH disciplines, but primarily focused on housing fitness. This will involve acting as an SME focal point for DIO housing fitness Environmental Health tasks and requests for specialist support. The postholder will provide SME advice in relation to housing standards and fitness, (infrastructure) control strategies and HHSRS ratings. The postholder will be responsible for the drafting, reviewing and maintenance of technical and contractual documentation, relating to DIO housing fitness and standards.
The activities associated include providing specialist advice to all areas of the business on housing fitness and standards, housing hazard and risk and other EH advice, undertake visits and visual inspections as directed.
Whilst this role will be housing focused, there is also a requirement to undertake food audits, food infrastructure project assessments and provide advice and guidance to the business on all areas of EH. This is role is therefore suited to an EHP with a strong food audit background as well as housing.
