Job Overview:
We are looking for a qualified Lead Occupational Therapist with local authority experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing individuals' functional abilities within their homes and providing strength-based interventions to help clients live independently in their communities. The role involves collaborating with clients to develop intervention plans, offering advice, providing therapeutic support, and recommending equipment and adaptations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients' functional abilities within their own homes.
• Develop strength-based intervention plans in partnership with clients.
• Provide advice and therapeutic interventions that promote well-being and independence.
• Recommend and facilitate the provision of equipment and adaptations to improve daily living.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver holistic support to clients.
• Ensure that assessments and intervention plans are reviewed regularly to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, interventions, and client progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working within a local authority setting is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of strength-based approaches and interventions.
Other Requirements:
• Photographic ID must be presented when reporting for duty.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
