Summary


To be accountable for the efficient and effective day to day management ofall Adult Physical Health Planned Care services across Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trustto ensure that services are provided to the highest quality and standard with the available resources.


To providehigh leveland complex professional and managerial advice, interpretation, guidance, and instruction as requested andrequired. To deputise for the Director asrequiredandrequested.


The post holder will also have direct line management for the following services:

• Wheelchair Service

• Hearing & Balance Service

• Dental Service

• Dietetics Service

• Diabetes Services

• Sexual Health Services

• To be accountable for the day-to-day management of allAdult Physical Health Planned Care services acrossBerkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trustensuring that services are provided to the highest quality and standards within the resources that are available

• To work collaboratively and in partnership with community-based managers and theother servicesto ensureoperateseamlessly and robustlyin accordance withoperational plans and procedures.

• To provide a high-level managerial contribution in ensuring that the Trust succeeds in achieving national targets and ratings (e.g. CQC).

• To contribute to,facilitateand chair a wide variety of professional and managerial training forums and meetings asrequiredandrequested.
• To delegateappropriate responsibilityand authority to the level of staff consistent with effective decision-making whilstretainingresponsibility and accountability for the results.

• To contribute to service and corporate budgeting processes with delegated authority to manage financial and human resources to ensure the maximum benefit to service users and optimise service delivery.

• To work with theClinical Director,Trust training managers, HR BusinessPartnersand other clinical education staff to ensure that all staff are compliant with statutory and mandatory training requirements and that continuous professional development is a corecomponentof personal development plans.

• ProfessionalHealth registration (eg:RN/ OT/ PT)

• Experience of working across extensive range of service portfolios

• Able toDemonstrate extensive experience ofleading projects, organisational change and of people management

• Demonstrabletrack recordfor the development of strategy formulation & implementation

• Evidence of senior operational management experience withincommunityhealth

• Able toDemonstrate extensive experience ofandevidence of successful professional and organisation change

• Able to Demonstrate extensive experience andof Comprehensive knowledge of community health services
