About Us
At STERIS Instrument Processing (IP) we are the believed experts in surgical instrument sterilisation. We offer on and offsite re-processing, alongside reliable instrument maintenance solutions. Our diverse and talented teams use cutting-edge technology to ensure that the highest quality of infection prevention is delivered to our customers. We are recruiting for staff on a flexible working basis, with 0 hours contracts. You tell us your availability, and we work around you!

Training and Working Pattern
12 weeks of full-time training on Monday-Friday at 9:00-17:00, then move to zero-hours contract.

What is involved?
- Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
- Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
- Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
- Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
- Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.

Required Experience
- Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
