Summary


This is an exciting post for someone with administrative experience to work alongside a busy, friendly and expanding team. This role will support a friendly team of Orthoptists and Ophthalmic Technicians co-ordinate and effectively support a wide variety of ophthalmology clinics.

The post holder will need to show excellent communication and organisation skills as well as being reliable, flexible and efficient under pressure. This role will require liaising with both patients and clinicians so a caring nature and excellent interpersonal skills are highly important.

This post will provide an efficient administration service to support the Orthoptic team within Ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic team that works closely with all sub-specialities of Ophthalmology and liaises with orthoptists, ophthalmic technicians, clinicians, medical secretaries, healthcare professionals and patients. You must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and take initiative that will support the smooth running of the department.

The role also requires a high standard of accuracy with typing skills, knowledge of MS Office and a positive and methodical approach to all aspect their work.
