Your Role

We are looking for dedicated individuals with prior experience in a professional care setting, to work within our complex care packages in the Carlisle area. This is community-based role and will involve working with both Adults and Children.

This role is for weekends only, if you are looking for full time roles please see our other vacancies.

You will be required to work either on a 1-1 or double up basis. Daily responsibilities of the role may include:

• Promoting independence
• Managing behaviours and emotions
• Supporting with Autism, ADHD and Learning Difficulties
• Supporting sensory needs
• Managing medication
• Supporting with mental health
• Managing challenging behaviour
• Meal preparation
• Social enrichment
• Education support
• Personal care

Requirements of the role

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community based.
• Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour, complex care and mental health.
• Be strong willed and resilient
• Strong knowledge and experience in using alternative methods of communication
• Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations
• Able to work as part of team
• Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies
