Summary
Are you a Sommelier looking for a new opportunity where you can claim your weekends back while still remaining in the high end dining location?
THE JOB:
• Advise on wine pairing and being able to showcase own knowledge to the guests.
• Setting up for service and assistance with clearing duties.
• Day to day upselling and advising on the wine choice.
• Decanting fine wine.
• Strong knowledge of the onsite wine list.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 1 year of experience as a Junior Sommelier or 2 years a wine waiter.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Immaculate presentation and strong communication skills.
• Can do attitude and ability to multitask.
• Experience in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel desirable.
• WSET level 2 or above
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends (approx. 10 per year)
THE PACKAGE:
• 5K (base + TRONC + GUARANTEED BONUS)
• 40h per week on a Monday – Friday basis
• Christmas off
• Meals on duty
