Summary
Job Description
Preparing and presenting design proposals to clients.
Producing detailed drawings.
Preparing tender and planning applications.
Negotiating with contractors and other professionals.
Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and specialists.
Co-ordinating the work of contractors.
Making site visits to check on progress of work.
Dealing with requirements and problems that can potentially occur during building.
Making sure that project is running within agreed time frame.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have experience in the following areas:
RIVET
PLANNING APPLICATIONS
BUILDING REGULATIONS
COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL PLANNING WORK
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE IN THE ARCHITECTURAL PRACTICE.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Skills and personal qualities
Strong visual awareness and an eye for detail.
Have good drawing skills, the ability to work in three dimensions (3D) would be advantageous.
Inventive and imaginative.
Adequate mathematical skills.
IT skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have good presentation skills.
Ability to organise projects.
Logical, analytical and creative approach to problem solving.
Time management skills.
Self-confidence and able to take criticism of their work.
Good management skills.
Passionate about buildings and built environment.
