Summary

Process Engineer - 2 year FTC

Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Salary DOE - £23.07ph (£45Kpa) + weekly pay.

GiPro (part of GiGroup Holding) is proud to partner exclusively with one of the most recognised global renewable energy businesses, who are on a mission to develop cutting-edge monitoring technologies, typically deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing the customer to understand and optimise the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.

We are now looking for an experienced and talented Process Engineer to join their team, responsible for delivering a wide range of projects to support the growth of the business, improve and develop global supply chain processes as well as improving product quality and effectively working in a cross-functional environment.

Please note that this is a 2-year FTC, presenting the opportunity to be extended.

The role:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Project planning and execution of tasks to set timeline
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management
  • Lead the development and execution of process validation plans, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Collaborate with the product development team during the design and prototyping stages to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
  • Provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for test (DFT)
  • Develop and implement Process improvement through Assembly and test automation
  • Create, review and up-date process documentation as required
  • Root cause analysis of reported production and process issues
  • Collaborate with the quality team to establish quality control measures, standards, and procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide support in troubleshooting manufacturing problems

About you:

  • Degree in Engineering/Science (ideally in Electronics/Electrical)
  • Ideally LabVIEW experienced.
  • Understanding all phases of an NPI and able to create and follow an NPI plan.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines.
  • Ideally, confident at programming in excel and managing or developing databases/macros
  • Ideally, experienced with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
