Summary

Job Summary

As a Maintenance professional, you will deliver high-quality maintenance services in line with best practices, organizational policies, and relevant regulatory requirements. You will address both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, prioritizing them based on urgency to maintain the safety and efficiency of our facilities.



Key Responsibilities

**Maintenance Services:**
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting, and decorating.

– Ensure accurate, clear, and up-to-date maintenance schedules are created and maintained.

– Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and systematically.



**Compliance and Safety:**
– Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations related to building maintenance.

– Protect the rights and welfare of service users, ensuring a safe and clean environment.



**Collaboration:**
– Build effective working relationships with colleagues, service users, and visitors.

– Represent the Maintenance department at Heads of Department meetings.

– Assist with the orientation, induction, and ongoing support of team members.



**Documentation and Policies:**
– Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

– Support the development and implementation of maintenance-related policies and procedures.



**Professional Development:**
– Attend statutory and required training to maintain current knowledge and skills.

– Take initiative to identify opportunities for professional growth and development.

– Contribute to quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.



Qualifications and Skills:

– Proven experience in maintenance, including skills in plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting, and decorating.

– Strong knowledge of health and safety practices in building maintenance.

– Vocational qualifications, such as HNC or City and Guilds in Maintenance or Building Services.

– Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

– Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
