Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Homeownership Officer, who is a customer focused person to join our Neighbourhood services team in the role of Homeownership Officer working out of our new office space in Croydon.Our client is a social housing provider with a focus on quality homes and excellent customer care. They have over 1600 homes across 3 London Boroughs, Croydon, Sutton & Bromley. They provide a variety of homes including social housing, Shared Ownership and outright sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with leaseholders, shared owners, and freeholders, ensuring high standards of service and maintaining strong communication. This role includes overseeing the delivery of services to homeowners, managing service charges, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and policies.

Essential requirements:

  • Full UK Driving license
  • Access to a vehicle and business use insurance

You will need to demonstrate

  • Good working knowledge of Homeownership products such as Leasehold, Shared Ownership, Resales, Staircasing and responding to tenancy issues.
  • You can proactively manage a Homeownership patch, visiting schemes to ensure they are well managed and maintained.
  • You can prepare written documentation to be sent to our residents, so experience of letter/report writing is essential.
  • Experience in housing management, leasehold services, or a related field within the social housing sector.
  • Strong understanding of leaseholder and shared ownership policies, service charges, and relevant housing legislation.
