Aramark are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join one of our successful teams at Withington Girls School, Manchester, M14 6BL.

The role is to provide catering onsite service in accordance with Aramark’s standardised program to meet or exceed client expectations.

As part of your role you will be responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.

- This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday with occasional weekend working if required for events, Shifts are: 8am – 3.30pm.
- The hourly rate is £11.44.

A day in the life of a Catering Assistant:



- Basic food preparation including sandwiches, grab and go items, basic hot food if required.
- Cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines.
- Serving students and operating the till, ensuring you are always providing excellent customer service.
- Stocking up and putting away deliveries
- General cleaning back and front of house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.





You will be set up for success if you have:



- Previous experience with a catering environment desirable. On the job training will be given. Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
- At least one years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Customer service experience.
- High personal standards and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Keen interest in developing food preparation skills and culinary knowledge.
