Summary
Leadership and Management
Manage the team in order to deliver DIO outputs
Demonstrate a personal commitment to the DIO Guiding Principles
Provide leadership for the team/section and/or function
Develop team members and assist line managers in delivering departmental goals
Ensure local compliance with mandatory requirements e.g. H&S training
Promote strong working relationships both within the team and with other teams across DIO and MoD
Stakeholder and Occupancy Management
Carry out Total Patch Management
Manage the resolution of regional level 2 occupant and stakeholder complaints and support Level 1 and 3 complaints.
Investigate all Parliamentary Business and FOI requests and respond within departmental guidelines/timescales.
Assure and support contractor stakeholder activities including with the military commanders.
Carry out a risk based assurance of the regional contracted activities in accordance with delegations, departmental policy, guidelines and instructions.
Contract Management
Carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Service Manager's Representative (SMR) for the maintenance contract within delegation and monitor and manage other housing contracts within area of responsibility in accordance with delegations, departmental policy, guidelines and instruction.
Authorise and assure Additional Works Services for repairs and for the preparation of houses for occupation.
Authorise Time Reliefs within delegation.
Attend and approve handovers within delegation.
Carry out a risk based assurance of the regional contracted activities.
Support other accommodation staff with Contract Management activities within the Region.
Financial Management
Manage delegated budgets in accordance with delegations and policy & procedures, exercising scrutiny and due diligence.
Health & Safety
Ensure that SHEP policy is adhered to, monitoring standards at all times.
