Are you a highly organised and experienced in all aspects of general accountancy?

Buckinghamshire College Group are looking for a Financial Accountant to be based at our Aylesbury Campus. This role is full time (37 hours) 52 weeks a year.

Suited to someone who is self-motivated and able to work closely within a close-knit Finance team, you'll be ACCA/CIMA or AAT Lv4 Full/part qualified (or equivalent) with previous experience of general accountancy roles. You will need effective communication skills, be highly capable of planning and multi-tasking and ready to hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the operation of the College general ledger, including assisting the Head of Finance in preparing monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, and associated statutory returns.
  • Processing of month end journals including accruals, internal transfers and prepayments.
  • Produce and maintain a set of account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting the operation of strong financial controls within the college and providing information that assists budget holders in the effective management of their cost centres.
