Summary

The Wraparound Childcare Lead Manager will supervise, coordinate, and deliver high-quality wrap around childcare service, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 4-12. This involves leading on both the After School and Holiday Playscheme services, ensuring that they operate in line with statutory requirements, organisational policies, and best practices. The post holder will also deputise for the CEO in their absence concerning the area of wraparound childcare services.
Oversee the daily operations of the breakfast, After School and Holiday Playscheme services, ensuring consistent and safe service delivery.
Maintain all records relating to the management of the service ensuring confidentiality and data protection of the children, their families and members of staff.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with schools, all relevant professionals, authorities, parents, and community partners to optimise the use of CASP’s services, while arranging regular parent meetings to keep them informed.
Organise staff rota, ensure adequate staffing levels during all operational hours, and provide cover as necessary.
Deliver a high standard of care to the children attending the setting, upholding the Play work Principles and ensuring the delivery of Early Years welfare requirements and Ofsted standards are met.
Ensure the safe supervision of children from school and during outings, maintaining a high standard of welfare and safety.
Coordinate with the Finance Officer to address any questions regarding fees and attendance, ensuring accurate record-keeping and invoicing.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the club’s premises, reporting any issues to the School Caretaker, Headteacher and where necessary, the CEO.
Collaborate with the staff team to plan and develop an appropriate programme of activities to ensure that relevant national standards and guidance are always met.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of the service delivered and share information with the CEO.
Provide supervision and support to play workers, volunteers, and trainees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
Oversee staff performance management, including regular supervision meetings and conducting annual appraisals, to ensure high standards are maintained and identify areas of improvement.
Motivate, upskill and lead a team of staff ensuring high levels of engagement and commitment to deliver quality care to children at the setting. Including but not limited to the support and management of recruitment, induction, development and discipline.
Identify staff and volunteers’ development and training needs, liaising with the CEO to implement them.
Lead by example, promoting good practice and inclusive values within the staff team.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, safeguarding issues and improvements.
Actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the setting, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe the organisation’s policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
Create an inclusive environment that respects the cultural, dietary, and individual needs of all children.
Undertaking administrative tasks in relation to the management and development of the service such as record management, activity planning, staff rotas, stock management and risk assessments
To effectively manage the occupancy levels of the wraparound childcare service, managing the waiting list and offering childcare places when places become available. Promoting and marketing the service effectively to maintain occupancy level.
Liaise with the breakfast service staff to support and maintain occupancies level.
