To lead the scoping, design and development of strategically aligned learning solutions for colleagues and managers across the Tesco group. Building blended solutions that that equip colleagues and managers with the right skills, behaviours and values to deliver our strategic priorities. With significant experience in blended, innovative learning design, you\'ll be able to balance a more strategic perspective, with a pragmatic approach in providing expert advice and suggesting creative solutions to colleague and manager development gaps
You will be responsible for
- Managing end to end complex learning design to address develop needs, utilising a variety of learning formats, (digital, F2F, video etc). Being the SME on design content, drawing on external thinking to create sustainable and leading edge solutions.
- Working across all markets to ensure products are researched and designed to be fit for purpose and sustainable across the group.
- Working with TBS to develop the right blend of solutions that help our colleagues and managers to build their ability to self-serve on learning
- Being accountable for ensuring centrally owned development programmes are designed and delivered within agreed timescales and budget
- Acting as the SME for core learning products, ensuring the right level of engagement, sign off and sign up across all markets and areas in the Tesco group
- Working in partnership with delivery teams to build trainer capability and understanding of products by running pilots and train the trainers for new material
- Partnering across markets and with senior stakeholders, acting as a credible expert providing advice and recommendations on leading edge development solutions to support bespoke development needs
- Supporting the sign off and engagement of new learning solutions - both inside of the people team and across the business
- Working with subject matter experts across the business to ensure both the what and how (skills and behaviours) are incorporated into learning solutions, ensuring the best learning experience for colleagues and managers (contributing to the delivery of an offer that is simple, accessible and consistent across the group)
- Ensuring we strive for a learner lead, simple and accessible group capability offer that is data led and supports our strategic priorities
- Working seamlessly across the people operating model and wider capability PoE (UK, Group & TBS) to respond to the changing needs of the business in an agile manner whilst always keeping the learner experience at the heart of everything we do.
- Maintaining expertise and continued professional development, be a thought leader in your space and strive for continuous improvement across the capability catalogue,
- Using data & analytics to critically review and evaluate existing development solutions: Presenting data in a compelling way to report back to the business, make recommendations for improvements and support future business cases.
- Championing and role modelling our Win Together behaviours, contributing to a cultural change programme across the Tesco group & actively driving a culture of learning
You will need
Operational skills:
- Skills and behavioural blended and innovative learning design for colleagues through to store managers
- Cultural / behavioural change theories into practice
- Growth mindset and change agility essential
- Diversity and Inclusion experience#
- Strong facilitation (across all levels)
- Excellent consulting and critical analysis skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Able to collaborate and communicate beyond your own team/function
- Able to present information and data to a senior audience in a compelling way
- Strives for continuous improvement, finding creative ways to achieve results
- Ability to balance high level perspective with pragmatic approach
- Strong learning design across a variety of formats and levels - virtual, blended, online, using latest thinking and approaches
- Proven ability to bring external best practice into Tesco - strong external network and a focus on CPD is important
- Expertise understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities
- Knowledge and experience of both technical and behavioural learning design • Strong network of talent / development specialist to draw on external best practice
- Senior stakeholder management, in particular building trusted relationships with a diverse group of international stakeholders
