The Academy Council of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, A Voluntary Academy on behalf of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated After School Club Assistant.

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools. We have a vision for our Trust that goes beyond our individual academies and that changes our perception frommyacademy toouracademy. Working collaboratively, each academy benefits from others’ strengths and expertise within the Trust, and practically from the services provided and procured centrally.

St John’s is a learning community full of enthusiastic children, and a very committed and dedicated staff team with Christ at the centre of all we do. Our children are encouraged to develop an awareness and respect of others as well as themselves, and are a real credit to the school community.

Duties will include:

• caring and playing with groups of children
• providing a relaxed and safe environment at all times
• greeting parents at collection times, ensuring pupils are collected safely at the end of the club

The successful candidate will:

• be enthusiastic, highly motivated and hard working
• be able to work as part of a team
• have excellent communication and caring skills
• have high levels of concentration and alertness
• have willingness to participate in development and training
• have appropriate knowledge of first aid
• have knowledge of basic hygiene procedures
