As part of Disability Services (DS) you will be at the heart of helping to transform people’s lives and supporting DS purpose of delivering timely and accurate outcomes to our customers.
HEO Leaders inspire colleagues through difficult situations, transform performance and are accountable for the effective utilisation of operational resources, delivering improved value for money and driving out inefficiencies.
Key tasks include:
- Build relationships and work collaboratively across Disability Services (DS) and the wider DWP to aid the Governments aspiration of supporting more disabled people into work.
- A comfortable and proficient communicator who is able to prepare, lead and facilitate meetings both virtually, in small/large groups or face to face, with a range of internal or external audiences.
- Support Jobcentre Colleagues to deliver Jobs fairs/ up-skilling Employers and attending face to face events.
- Support with Complex Cases/Queries on benefits and Grant’s that come through from Stakeholders.
- Drive improved customer service by building on your stakeholder network, evaluating and acting on feedback and implementing changes.
- Being an accountable and resourceful leader who can think on their feet and adapt to changing and challenging circumstances.
- Creative thinker who can produce and share information in various formats to meet the diverse needs of your stakeholder network.
- Ensure all Health and Safety and security matters are dealt with promptly and sensitively, in line with DWP policies and procedures.
- The role entails travel across the UK to various events and large stakeholder meetings on a regular basis. You will be an ambassador for DWP, dealing with MPs, parliamentary office and working with internal and external stakeholders.
